Friday 28 – Sunday 30 August | Strausberg, near Berlin
We warmly invite you to join us for a weekend of presence, movement, and genuine human contact — a retreat built around one simple but rarely easy question: how do we come together without losing ourselves in the process?
So much of modern life pulls us in opposite directions. We scroll past each other. We perform connection without quite making it. We come home from evenings with people we love feeling strangely hollow — not sure where we went, or when. Building Bridges is an invitation to explore something different: what it feels like to be truly with others, and still find yourself there at the end of it.
When?
Friday 28 August, arriving from 5pm — Sunday 30 August, closing at 2:30pm.
Where?
A Montessori School in Strausberg, just outside Berlin — a peaceful, spacious setting surrounded by nature. The school is reachable by S-bahn.
What’s included?
Four yoga sessions, mindfulness walks, guided meditation, yoga nidra, an evening bonfire, stargazing, a gratitude circle, and delicious Arabian vegetarian food.
Food
On Friday evening, we gather around the BBQ together — everyone is invited to bring something from home to grill and share. It’s a lovely way to arrive, meet each other, and settle in. Saturday and Sunday meals are provided: delicious Arabian vegetarian food, prepared for the group.
Accommodation
Accommodation is communal and intentionally simple — shared rooms for 2 to 4 people, mattresses, with three showers and bathrooms to share. If you’d prefer more privacy, you are welcome to bring a tent, or there is a pension right next door that you could book a room in— just mention it when you register.
Pricing
The total cost for the full weekend — all activities, food, and accommodation — is 220€.
Payment is made in two parts: 128€ to Pinelopi (invoiced through Smart EG — bank transfer or PayPal), and the remaining 92€ paid directly to the school for accommodation and food.
How to Register
Space is limited, so please don’t wait too long. Write to pinelopi@englishyogaberlin.com with your preferred accommodation option and any questions — I’ll send you everything you need to confirm your spot.
Come as you are, bring comfortable clothes and shoes, and something delicious for the Friday grill. 🌱
Pinelopi began her yoga journey in 1999 and founded English Yoga Berlin in 2010. She holds a 600-hour Hatha Yoga Teacher Training and completed a 1,600-hour Alexander Technique Teacher Training in 2023 under Jörg Aßhoff — one of the most intensive trainings of its kind.
She has studied Yoga Anatomy with Leslie Kaminoff, trauma-informed practice with Legacy Motion and Linda Thai, and ways of applying Internal Family Systems for Social Transformation with Steffi Bednarek. Her meditation work is deeply inspired by Tara Brach and the RAIN technique, which she brought to life in Magic of Rain — the first children’s book on RAIN meditation, with a foreword by Tara Brach herself, to be published in 2026 by Books That Save Lives.
She teaches because she believes it is not what you do in life, but how you do it that matters.
