Together Without Getting Lost

A mindfulness course for being present with others — without losing yourself

June 4th to July 9th, 2026, Thursdays 20.00–21.00

Most of us know how to find stillness when we are alone. But what happens when we try to stay present with another person in the room? This six-week course explores the art of being fully with someone — without losing yourself in the process.

How does “Together Without Getting Lost” work?

Each class will consist of:

  • a short introduction to the theme of the week
  • a gentle movement practice to arrive in the body before we explore together
  • a guided partner exercise — sometimes seated, sometimes walking, sometimes in a circle
  • space to reflect and share what you noticed
  • a short closing meditation

This mindfulness course runs live in the studio and online every Thursday. Because the partner exercises are central to the work, online participants are warmly encouraged to join with a friend or family member. If you are coming alone and joining online, I will pair you with another participant — you will each go to your own park or take your own walk, connected by phone, sharing what you notice in real time. It turns out this is its own kind of beautiful.

What is this mindfulness course about?

There is a question I keep coming back to: how can I be with you, and not forget about myself at the same time?

Most of us do one of two things in connection with others. Either we stay so carefully inside ourselves that real contact never quite happens — we are present to our own experience, but not really with the other person. Or we give ourselves over so completely to the other person that we lose the thread back to ourselves — we come home from a dinner, a conversation, a social event, and feel strangely empty or drained, unsure of what just happened.

This course is an exploration of the bridge between the two. Not a technique, but a felt sense — what it is actually like to be grounded in your own body, your own breath, your own experience, while genuinely meeting someone else.

Over six weeks we will explore this through walking together in a park, through practicing how we speak and how we listen, through seeing goodness in the person in front of us, through saying kind things aloud and letting them land, and through being witnessed in a circle. Each class builds on the last, so this course works as a closed group — the same people coming each week.

Course topics include:

  • arriving in your own body as the foundation for connection
  • the 54321 practice — alone, and then together
  • mindfulness while speaking: staying grounded as conversation speeds up
  • mindfulness while listening: tracking your own mind without analysing theirs
  • spoken loving kindness — saying it out loud, and letting it be received
  • being seen and held: a closing circle ritual

For whom?

This course is open to everybody, from complete beginners to experienced meditators. You do not need to have done any of my previous courses. The only thing you need is a genuine curiosity about what it means to be in relationship — with others, and with yourself.

Her meditation work is deeply inspired by Tara Brach and the RAIN technique, which she brought to life in Magic of Rain — the first children’s book on RAIN meditation, with a foreword by Tara Brach herself, to be published in 2026 by Books That Save Lives.

She teaches because she believes it is not what you do in life, but how you do it that matters.
