Special Themed Yoga Class

Every first Thursday of the month, our 20.00 advanced class turns into a special themed yoga class where we explore in depth a specific yogic related theme. These special themed classes are open to students who have been to the studio at least four times.

Here is a list of the themes we will explore in the next few months:

December 5th, 2019 – Blindfold Yoga

Taking away the sight from our yoga practice can intensify the practice in many ways. Many people describe their blindfolded yoga experience as one with more focus, a change in the sensation of time, and an increased inward exploration.

Bring your own blindfolds to the class!

January 9th, 2020 – Akasha… Creating Space in our Yoga Practice.

A philosophical class of becoming aware of the space around you while you are practicing yoga asanas. Bringing your attention to the space can create a feeling of expansion in the body and an increased focus in the mind.

(Please note that due to many people being on holiday, this class will be held on the second Thursday of the month instead of the first).

February 6th 2020 – Opening the Heart Chakra

A class and a visualization focused on the heart chakra, its energetic meaning, and the asanas that affect it.

March 5th, 2020 – Alexander Technique impulses in the Yoga Practice

In this class we will have a special guest teacher, Nina Rotner. She is an Alexander Technique teacher who will be giving hands on impulses and adjustments to students during the Hatha yoga class.
